Procrastination has won. I seemed to have been caught up with most of my homework and the things I needed to get done to keep everything stress free, but I spoke way too soon. I have already noted to myself that having a full time job puts strain on the studying process. It starts getting worse when I find myself getting ready to travel for work or when the rest of the department is getting ready to. It is my responsibility to have certain work done before a deadline and the amount of time it needs to be done in can sometimes be overwhelming. Which means that when I get home I am usually not in the mood for any studying, because all I want is down time. And on the weekends, I of course want to maintain my social life as well as get personal errands done, work around the house, or go to family events. I have decided that is time to break open the Google Calendar (which is also synced with iCal on my Mac and my iPhone). I have not been using it, because I have so many other things going on, but that is the key that I am missing in this struggle for time and organization. I seem to forget what things I need to do until the last minute so putting the things that are important on a schedule seems like the best idea at this point in time. If I will continue to follow through with it is a whole other issue. I’ll let you know how that turns out. In the meantime, here’s to the rest of the quarter and more updates to come!
